My new 4/4 has square shaped mirrors on the doors that i find wont adjust on the passenger side to give a clear view of the rear wing for parking.
No matter how i set it the view is poor. Do the round type , Like the librands ones, offer a better view? Are they a worthwhile addition?

Round mirrors from HoE certainly do. I have them on both mine, and they are also superior to the factory round mirrors.

I have a pair of John Taylor's round mirrors @ 69 pounds a pair...made a massive difference on visibilty.
Throw the square ones in the bin !!!! (actually sold mine on ebay for 25 pounds)

And I vote for John Taylor as well, super chap and mega helpful. I had HofE round convex ones on my car and one glass fell off on the motorway, no complaint I'd had them for years. I was on my way to Scotland and rang John Taylor and they were home when I got back, I had not realised that they are slightly larger diameter than the HofE ones and gave a much wider field of vision, no idea how they compare size wise with the Librands? Beautifully made and in particular I like how the pivot tension of the head can be adjusted. Fitted straight into the OE bases.

Definitely an improvement, another vote from me !
Did have an issue with the glass falling out on the factory ones though.

First thing I did on my cars, fit the round mirrors and get rid of the large plastic rear view mirror as well, Ian

One of the first things I did when I first bought mine
I couldn't understand how owners before me could tolerate not being able to adjust the passenger side mirror to a point where it was even vaguely useful
I also invested in a pair of John Taylor's (morgan hoods) ( Phoenix designs ) round mirrors
I've never looked back!
Sorry, what I mean to say is that I can now look back

I guess by now you have got the message, a big yes for round mirrors and further, John Taylor is a great chap, if you intend using your Mog for weekends away etc, his car covers are great. Iv'e had one for years and they really work.
