Oh ok thanks. I've put the battery tender on it as well now, just to keep the juice up to level.

Battery conditioners are pretty much mandatory for an M3W in my book and they really do make the whole starting process a lot more resilient and predictable in my experience.

Very true. Now that the battery is fully charged, the starter sounds much strong.

Unless you have a garage without power...

I use a Battery Brain to disconnect the battery each time I put mine away and (touching ash) haven't had a problem so far.

Hookup the tender by a jumper plugged into port in the dash. A lot easier than fooling around under the bonnet every time you need to hookup. The port is hot all the time. Get the plug at an auto parts store and splice it into the tender

I was advised by my mechanic to switch on the ignition till the fuel pump stops whining, switch off then repeat twice & start engine. This does help on mine.

My battery tender came with a flying lead that attaches to battery & socket end is threaded to cockpit by the transmission tunnel.

+1 on this, it really does work. I fired mine up on Thursday for the first time in almost four weeks; it started immediately on the button after doing this fuel pump cycling three time and that's in an unheated garage without a battery tender.

Good advice, mine hasn't been started since October.
