A quick and poor rehash. The beauty of the way I am getting it painted is I can see it in stages, body in cream first and then consider doing the rear wings and then finally the rear wheels. Because in the light of day it will look different to the mock-ups.
I love that retro look, very unusual on an aero, but looks so right. Perhaps then, a bonnet strap and black and white plates. Look forward to seeing pictures when it's done.
I spent a couple of hours at the factory today, mostly in the trim shop, which is littered with Aero 8 & ARP4s.
Apparently the Dealers all get to drive their cars away at the same time - hence the log jam.
& while I *prefer* some colours over others, that's personal - the car looks distinctive, and with a slightly different personality, whether the colour's light or dark.
I drove the auto burgundy Aero 8 - it rides very (very) well - at least as good as the Saab 9-5ng that I drove into Malvern in :-)
& the windnoise is very well managed in the softop - there's a sense of fluttering from behind, but no buffeting from the windscreen or window edges.
There weren't any creaks or rattles either - in keeping with the GT character of the car.
And then there's that exhaust note. A heavenly sound on open throttle. And then the auto blips on downshifts... It's huge fun.
