Hi Folks
Can anyone recommend a suitable strong clear adhesive for attaching the perspex blocks ('handles') to the side screens?

Hi Nigel, I believe there is a specific clear glue for polycarbonate which is what the side windows should be. If you search for polycarbonate sheet suppliers you should find the glue. How's the car going?

Polycarbonate and perspex are two different things. I assumed side screens are made from (Acrylic) perspex?. Anyone confirm either way?

Superglue is cyanoacrilate and should work ?

I am pretty certain the replacement blocks from Melvyn Rutter, and the one that fell off my car, are Perspex, not sure about the actual window material. It would need to be a pretty tough glue as the side screens take a bit of effort to move.

As you point out, a clear adhesive is essential. Did mine with "Serious Glue". Lots of stockists, and there is one here. My window block fell off 15 months ago. Been fine ever since. A little of this stuff goes a long way, so don't be too generous when applying.

Obviously not in a confined space, but to dissolve and glue perspex, chloroform is the stuff... You might get a little from a chemist.

I used superglue to put mine back on. 8 months later and about 10,000 km they are still there.
