The info on these is also here:

They work very well but the retaining clips do require a bit of work with some long nose pliers to fit them, no easy way round it but worth the effort. How about an old sheet over you and the cowl when fitting the clips? It cuts down their range when they ping off across the garage.

Pure coincidence !
I hope I am as quick fitting these drat circlips when I get round to it. I can see I will have to be in the right frame of mind - might do some yoga / meditation first grin2

It's not that tricky Nippy - took me 15 mins at most I reckon. The spring circlip things just need 'easing' slightly to make them just big enough to be slid back off the Dzus spindles themselves (bent open, basically). They don't ping off necessarily. Then fit the spring, replace the outer plastic washer from MMC with the cupped version from G56 and then re-insert back into the bonnet. Refit the inner MMC washer and the circlip and bend the latter back into a tighter shape with a pair of long-nosed pliers. Job's a good'un !

Just fitted my G56 springs and it is easier than I feared smile

A good pair of needle nose pliers is needed to refit the circular wire clip and it's a bit fiddly. It would be nice if new clips could be added to the kit?

Once done they are much neater than the standard.

On a related note, my 3 wheeler was built and taken on it's 50 mile break in drive in the cold December rain three years ago today.
