"Not putting miles on your Ferrari is like not having sex with your girlfriend so she'll be more desirable to her next boyfriend." -Jim Glickenhaus (Ferrari Collector) This is brilliant! There's nothing sadder than not enjoying your car because you want to keep it nice for the next owner.

If you do buy a car for investment then your probably not a true petrol head. As someone else said if you want to drive it do so, life's too short not.

I'm not sure it's resale value that some owners worry about. They just don't particularly want some dirty old slapper in the garage. Actually, put like that, I wouldn't mind some dirty old slapper in the garage over Christmas. Hahahahaha. I've never worried about resale values - not once. I do wince at the money I've lost on some cars - but during ownership, the value hasn't been an issue. But I do like seeing a sparkling car in the garage and to deliberately drive it through the mud (I live up a track that turns to mud in the winter) for a 20 minute pleasure drive, seems a bit mad. New Ferraris and some other exotics change quite dramatically in value once they're over 10,000 miles on the dials - so I can understand why some owners who intend getting in and out (flipping) an Enzo (for example) might keep an eye on the mileage. Glickenhaus, who is a terribly nice man, is also fabulously wealthy.... makes a teenie difference too.

Ups... I usually wash and dry the car once per week if it's not dirty

Love the girlfriend quote! Spot on. I have to drive through something closely resembling a WW1 battlefield to get to the main road as a new housing estate is built, and the last month's rain has not tempted me to take the Aero out much. But today it was dry! Great drive on nearly dry roads including a quick stop at Williams to wish them a merry Christmas. Interesting Westfield FW 400 in the Caterham showroom (ex Aeroman?). Not seen one before.

You're right about the Westie Rob, that belongs to Crunchie and me! We now have the Ultima for our shared track day car so It had to go I'm afraid. 😟 Great track day, sprint or race car for some one...

It looked very interesting, Brian. I've just done a bit of googling about it, and I now understand where Crunchie got his name! A serious track day weapon, but then.... an Ultima.... (Sorry, thread drift! Can't wait for more Supersports pics, less common or not).

No prob at all. Thread drifts in here are always interesting. Can't wait for more Supersports pics, less common or not). Considering that this is a private garage, for me it goes under the "uncommon" category
