Well! I never thought our house would be flooded

We live in a Lancashire village called Croston which is known for its flood risk but our house is a long way from the river and even at its worst in 1987 ( before we moved in ) our Road/ street / cul de sac wasn't affected

Tonight unfortunately we are now camped upstairs with no electricity ( sub station flooded ) having moved all our valuable stuff upstairs, marooned with the Ground Floor flooded

The worst part is the garage flooded first and the water is now up to the underside of the Morgan

We have been inundated with calls from friends offering help and the first thing they ask is how's the Morgan !

It's damp, I reply

For the first time I'm really not bothered about a leaky roof in the torrential rain

Really bad luck, Stewart. I hope the water subsides soon and doesn't get any higher.

Thank goodness for that it must be very difficult with your son to manage as well.

Lets hope it subsides and the recovery can begin tomorrow.

The best of luck with everything.

I know I'm quite far south but if you need a hand clearing up pm me.

terrible news.

We had 2 1/2 feet in our living room in 07.
I managed to get the Morgan I had at the time to higher ground, only to be told by the environment agency that they expected another 4 feet the following day!!!!!!

luckily EA were wrong, I did manage to get it on the back of a passing flat bed though and takes to much higher ground.
