SogMog flood defences
As an addendum to recent posts regarding the flooding to my village of Croston and the flooding of my house and Morgan, we have bolstered our defences with sandbags infront of the garage
Hopefully SogMog will not be repeated
The drive is sloping back to the garage with a soak away infront of the garage door so my son and I have been creative, thinking that we can divert the flow of any flood water with an arrowhead of sandbags

Just thinking Stewart...do you have axle stands or some scaffoling planks (or similar) you could get the car up on? Might just save things..... Good point - I've got two axel stands so I think I'll go to Halfords tomorrow and get a couple more so I can get it up on 4

Just thinking Stewart...do you have axle stands or some scaffoling planks (or similar) you could get the car up on? Might just save things..... Good point - I've got two axel stands so I think I'll go to Halfords tomorrow and get a couple more so I can get it up on 4 If you don't have time but have some large blocks of wood or concrete blocks put the rear wheels up on them and the front on the axle stands, hope you are all ok.

A lot of this BS from Cameron is like a rusty knife Jnr spent her time at Uni wanting to become a Geomorphologist. Worked for Durham river trust ( 3 people on a 65 mile long river ). Then the goverment got rid of 1.400 YES YOU ARE READING IT CORRECT . Jnr was angry that idiots had wasted her money and time . She has returned to another Uni to study again as she said the goverment have no interest in floods its just a quick fix and not a long term solution .

What about a flood gate attached to your doors ie house and garage . They can be slipped in if needed better safe than sorry . A bit late Richard SWMBO spoke of axel stands when it happened if you look to the other day what with Jnr knowing all about this I get no rest.

Hi Stewart
Axle stands under the the front Subframe, then use the jack on the centre of the diff housing to hold the back up, if you can find bricks, blocks, wood, or Logs wedge them under the rear wheels.
