Although a 2007 race, this is worth checking out! It demonstrates what can be done against modern opposition if you have talent, a lack of fear, a decent "old" outfit, and .....cojones! I particularly liked the full-blooded opposite-lock slides..... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VHrU-sBTSvkEnjoy! Dave

Wow that was great!
I have seen that bike at Mallory Park ridden in exactly the same way!
The power slides are something else!

Brilliant. I loved that marshal just leaning on the safety bales where an out of control out fit might crash. What driving.

Sidecar racing is a brilliant spectator sport. I've even taken my mum to one meeting - she loved it!
Less said about the low-lifes who went though the Morgan 4/4 we went in though. Nothing pinched, there was nothing in it!

Dave, my old mate Tom Frame ( a broad Jock ) used to take his 1980s +4 ( Fiat 2L twin Webers ) You could tell when he was going because he could not wipe the grin off his face . Came to see me one day looked in the dumps his exhaust brackets had gone . I keep spare bits in the garage . So I gave him two new ones . " How much " "Bugger off Tom you dont charge mates" He was that happy he almost danced across the road .

Somewhere in a book about Jenks (Denis Jenkinson) there is a reference to his sidecar racing days when he was the ballast. The throttle cable broke IIRC and Jenks held the throttle open with his hand. Approaching a tight bend he went to move to put his weight in the right place and was greeted with the foot of the driver holding him in place - more important to keep the throttle open. Must look out the proper reference.

I reckon that the passenger is even braver! you have to have a lot of trust to swing for a guy that rides like that

Wow that's what you call on the limit. Definitely wringing it's neck as they say.
