What a shame about the "it's not a Morgan" remarks. Still I imagine the first 4-4 drivers might have received the same comments from the M3W crowd.
I find there are people every where who, for reasons difficult to understand, just need to make criticisms to boost their misguided ego's or gain some personal satisfaction. On a cruise recently, we found them moaning, all over the place. Why do they bother to join in the first place? They have spent their money but seem to object to others seeming to be getting a better deal (or appearing to have money to spend on better than them). The bully manager in business, or the 'My dads bigger than your dad' brigade come with the same big chips on their shoulders. Sad creatures that they are, best ignored. The biggest insult to 'Morgan' that we can make is to give such comments as these even an iota of time or credence. :

Well, I thought it was a pretty good event. Didn't get to see all of it or catch up with everyone. Had a good chat with Matt about the life car project and a quick chat with Dennis from Morgan West (Santa Monica) after visiting his store a few weeks ago when I was in California.
From TM I only saw Boshly and I almost missed him (he was hiding at the bar!).
I didn't get any negative comments about my Aero except from one of the car park attendants as I was driving past, who commented to his mate "that car looks s**t" I guess it might of helped if I'd cleaned it but probably not. Getting close to 15,000 now in 8 months. Been lagging a bit as had a few overseas trips that have knocked 6 weeks out of the driving calendar.

I have read about the events with envy, sounds like a lot of good conversations happening at all the events with an occasional Aero basher thrown in for some spice.
I mentioned on my Keeneland post about the eighty year young women who drove her plus four 100 miles to the Keeneland event. We talked about the history of her car and she was quite curious about my Aero. She sat in the Aero, liked the color, quilted seats, six speed gearbox and the seating position. We talked powerplant/horsepower rating and other Aero details.
She asked if I could fire the Aero up and of course being a gentlemen not to mention loving the sound of the Aero Squadron sidepipes (a little more conversation coming?)I gave her some sweet Aero music. She smiled proclaimed the Aero a modern Morgan with character and walked off saying she needed to get one of those new Morgans.
I chuckled for the next ten minutes because I knew from her expression she was serious. One other thing to mention, I want to be ar Mr Tony's table during the next century celebration because along with his management it sounds like they kept their table rocking...

I am reminded of the lady passenger at Beaulieu. The local New Forest group had selected 12 cars to be photographed in front of the Palace House (see Hopwoods Photos). As they were 'buckling up' to go, she turned to her 'driver partner' and said in that voice just loud enough to be heard around and about. "Dwarrrling, I'm so prouuud of you, being selected for the photograph" Only pity for me is that she was Not talking to the CAR!

Welcome to the board - and have to say it was amazing to meet people who had travelled so far to be there! I travelled under 1000 miles and thought I'd put in some effort!

Dear all
Just to add my tuppence worth we had an absolutely fantastic time at the Morgan Centenary celebrations. I think that Morgan Cars have to be thanked not just for staging such a superb event, but for being around to do so.
We met many old friends during our 10 days in England, and made some new friends who will in the Morgan way of things no doubt become old friends. It's great being "one of the family" as Charles would say.
Cheers

Sorry about the weather though, rumour has it that the National Cricket Team & the Weather Office were getting in some early practice .
