re: depreciation
nearest comparison is the +4 Super Sports which they made 60 of
they have depreciated between £5k to £10k in 3 years or so .. I think
ARP4 has unique engine, unique suspension and unique interior, none of which +4SS had (OK, it had a more highly tuned engine)

The value of your Morgan can go down as well as up so you may get back less than you originally invested. MMC are not authorised and regulated by the FCA.

Still what ever it goes down wont be anything like a normal production car 50% or more in 3 years, so it still makes cheap motoring. On the plus side too it is also far more enjoyable and such a superb social side.The value of that cant be calculated. Roll on the 30th !!!!

Personally I'd settle for a nice gentle depreciation curve and the buzz of having something quite exclusive and a bit different to enjoy. Hopefully will be slightly better financially than an equivalent investment (!) in a mainstream modern car

The depreciation doesn't really matter does it? Certainly for those who intend to keep the car long term it's of no consequence. If they build 50, there won't be 50 survivors long term, which will help residuals. But then it's a Marmite car so demand will be limited, especially when other Morgans with similar performance (Roadsters & Aero 8's) are in the same price bracket.

I meant more highly tuned compared to a standard +4 .. no idea whether Cosworth engine is more highly tuned than +4 SS Yes it is more highly tuned, but it is also based on the Duratec engine whereas the SS engine was a Mazda MZR engine with variable inlet valve timing. There is no dyno chart available for the Cosworth (that I can find) but I am fairly certain that the tuned MZR engine would have more torque (due to the variable valve timing) at low to mid range than the Cosworth. The Cosworth would then develop more power as the revs increase. Whilst at 225hp it is not the most powerful of the two litre engines built by Cosworth it is still fitted with a lot of expensive bits. In this respect it is more similar to the Baby Doll which is fitted with a 250hp race tuned (for Class B) Omex 2lt Duratec engine. But, needless to say, the Baby Doll is much more hard edged, not only with the engine but the way it is fitted out. Cosworth start with all the individual brand new, Geniune Ford components. The lightweight aluminium cylinder block and cylinder head are expertly modified and then assembled with Cosworth camshafts, Cosworth forged pistons and rods (on applications), Cosworth barrel throttle, Cosworth dry sump, Hi flow injectors, race alternator, starter, coils, spark plugs.

I hope the Cosworth engine is significantly more free revving and responsive due to lightweight internals .. that is one of the main selling points for me
