I hope the Cosworth engine is significantly more free revving and responsive due to lightweight internals .. that is one of the main selling points for me Compared to the SS engine or standard duratech? It is free revving and also very tractable at low revs.

I think we can trust Cosworth to build an engine, they have great heritage.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

Would not mention them in the same breath when talking engine tuning.

on a RHD or LHD ARP4, the rev counter is nearest to the driver
this means it is possible to change the placement of the speedometer and rev counter 'easily'
anyone thinking of asking factory to move the speedometer to the place of the rev counter so speedometer is closest to driver?

It would be better if the rev counter was placed directly ahead of the driver, with the minor gauges away to the centre. As it is the drivers hand obscures most of the rev. counter, or if moved the speedo. Not a great idea in a sports car. Yet again aesthetics triumph over practicality.

The Speedo & Revcounter should be in front of the driver, and visible through the steering wheel. Simple as that.
With supplementaries in a row in the centre, including oil pressure and voltmeter - in the name of tradition.

I agree Dave, but I would go further and say that the dash top in front front of the driver needs to be redesigned to go up in a slight hump, or even a double hump such as the new Aero 8. This style I would like!!!
