1939 Bugatti Type 64 gets a body, the old-fashioned way.

""Bugatti Yesterday and Today - The Atlantic Type 57".

Am reading this right now. Very interesting, covers earlier years to the Type 64 in the video - but just as futuristic and spectacular for 1935-39.

One of three Atlantic's ever produced now owned by Ralph Lauren - said to be valued at £8 million!

Cheers

Beautiful....

Recently I have been fancying (not to buy, just fancying) a 135S. I think they beat the Bugatti for looks.

What a great thread, fantastic to see such skills still being employed.

Also, Neil that is a glorious looking car.

Had I the space I would love one of these.

Peter, thank for posting. This is ideed a great project. I look at Bugatti as an artist, it is so beautiful what he made and these guys in the video "get it".
Cheers,
Bert

There's probably a 'golden ratio' or something that these pre-wars cars had. EU legislation would prevent them being built today I guess.

The Delahaye's (before they went mental) and Alfa's - Bugatti's of course - they had some achingly beautiful cars.

Our Morgan's doff a design hat their way.

A company named Teal built replicas or kits of one of the pre-war cars...Type35.

I wonder how they are dealing with the DVLA re registration!!!!
Fabulous cars though.

It is very nice - unusual headlight arrangement

I know the French racing blue is really for Bugattis and other French marques but what a super colour all these cars have - I've seen a couple of Morgans in this colour and they do look very nice

Out of interest has anyone seen a racing number sprayed onto a black front grill of a Morgan like the above ?
