An elderly chap (I believe all Bristol owners are known as chaps) came to the factory a couple of months ago for a tour in his 401. Apart from being immensely interested in what we did when I took him around, he showed me his car with great pride. He'd had it many years and it was beautifully patinated.....and he loved it!
Was he the gentleman, whose car had featured in original road-tests, following its' launch? If so, we had the delight of meeting him at Sherbourne a few years ago. As for Bristol Cars; my favourite has always been the lovely 405.
What happened to the Rocket Red car ? It seems to have disappeared ?
It was bought, via SGT and Julian Cutts, by a guy who lived locally to us in Bray Alistair. I last saw him at the FoS, but he had not come in it. I have not seen it being driven since then, which is unusual as I used to see it out and about on a fairly regular basis - his business is in Windsor. Shame as it is a lovely car, even if it was not very waterproof...

I do like the look of the Bristol fighter, although I've never see one in the 'flesh' but I can't see any historic Bristol styling cues in the car at all
It does have a Marcos look maybe even a Japanese look to it but I wish it just had some design nod to the past
It certainly doesn't look like a British gentleman's steed or Bristol to me
