Ok I managed to grab 30 mins on the rolling road yeaterday so time for an update on the original thread:
2014 Morgan 4/4 Sigma 1.6 engine..modifications home made cool air induction system into standard air box with KN filter + sports silencer.
Pre-remap Results
achieved 114 bhp 98lb/ft engine rev limiter 6450 rpm
The technician commented on how the power delivery +rise was progreesive right up to rev limiter
Post -remap Results
achieved 130.4 bhp 118lb/ft engine rev limiter 7250 rpm
The surprise to me having had other cars remapped is you can really feel the torque increase in the Morgan because it is a light car.
This now is a light agile proper sports car.
So a worthwhile cost effective gain without getting into the engine.
As I said before the change highlighted the shortcomings of the Conti tyres +further improvements will be made on the suspension.
Thanks to Cain (Power to the Wolf !!) for all advise and good work..he has other mods on trial for the Sigma ..watch this space
I will be picking up some brake reaction bars from Cain next Saturday and will be discussing Panhard rod fitment.
Ok signing off now for a blast up the Yorkshire coast to frighten the natives !!!!
Thank you! I can say that 'Wolf Cafe racer' sits at 136.9bhp @ 6610RPM Max Torque is 160.2 Nm @ 4265. with a dirty air filter! This is up by 6BHP since Johns ride up Prescott Hill (New plugs and leads)
We have a stock Manifold but hi flowing side exit exhaust, Wolf Performance cold air intake that at the moment runs into the Stock AIR box with a K&N
replacement air Filter, Magnecor race leads and NGK iridium plugs . Although I am happy with the Dyno results I think there would be an increase in both torque and BHP on the road due to the forced cold air induction as it's position is a full positive air point at the front of the Morgan just behind the grill (bottom).
I'm working on replacing the stock air box to full Cold air induction unit and my own Manifold, and expect to reach 140BHP+

If you want to drive faster the best performance upgrade is Avon CR6ZZ's!
For Handling defiantly Panhard followed by Break reaction bars.
After that If you want better handling its front springs Old school with a choice of Weights (Mulfab) and AVO's.
The Rear Once you have more power, Tramp bars, no sagging like springs over time just replace the rubbers when their worn.
Simple is best.
