I know there's a few of us Lancashire lads on here so just found this quiz and had a go at it. T'is nowt to do wi 'em Morgans so a bit a Ken bait - ehh lad?! Speaking true Lancashire is like another language & I got 20/22 so despite emigrating to Cheshire 20 years ago it's not rubbed off me. Have a go and let us know what you score was! Quiz

21/22 - although born 100yards inside Lancashire I speak fluent Highland Yorkshire - but much is the same. Been doin` missionary work in Derbyshire for 40 years - and they still think Yorkshire puddin` comes out of a freezer!!!

19 by a Yorkshireman. A lot of the slang has crossed the pennines.
When we're in the West Country, most "Southerners" think we're from Lancashire. How offensive is that?

In Aberdeenshire the local dialect is Doric. We moved in here 40 years ago. After about 10 years we found out that Doric was not a specific dialect but something that changed from one village to another.
Further that a lot of the locals made it up as they went along. We understand most of the locals these days.
As we have been here now for 40 years and there are not a vast number of locals left as the younger locals have moved away, we are considered part of the community an honour indeed for a pair of "inabootcumers"

Scored 20/22 - not bad having been brought up in Wales and now in Gloucestershire. Truth be told I was born in Stockport with family in Blackburn and Southport.

21 out of 22 and I am from Birmingham, in fact a lot of it read like Black Country so that may have helped.........I was 16 before I realised Orchid (Aw-Kid) was a flower and not my brother.
