Whole new upgraded suspension will be available shortly from Librands as below - will report when I hear anything
We nearly finished the car last Friday, and got it to the Centenary. I will send you more details when we have tested it and decided on costs
Wheels - surely not giving any problems yet?! I'm resigned to finding a specialist when they need attention, but was hoping to have at least three years at the very least without hassle...

Adjustable shocks are probably the easiest and best mod for the rear suspension. I fitted Konis to mine and it transformed the car -- AVO apparently are also very good.

My next experiment will be to change the current Spax to Leda. Everything works well at present but there are surfaces around here which are challenging. By the way Robbie can I have some of your rain? There's been none here for nine weeks. Meabh.

I had something of the same problem with bumpy South Wales farm tracks. I fitted AVOs all round on my 2000 4/4 and they really do make a difference.
I know of several people who have gone for the front upgrade via roller Bs and panhard rod and, having driven a couple of cars with this, there is no doubt that the lateral location does seem better
However,in my own case, I kept the 'blades' set up because I wasn't overly bothered about the heavy steering at low road speed and I like the the damping chcarcteristics the blades give at higher speeds. I also fitted brake reaction bars which seem to have worked out well- just a personal thing
Regards.

AVO's are good because they can be adjusted all round in five minutes. I started with zero clicks which gave front end patter and rear end bottoming with a passenger on board. Now I'm on four clicks all round, no patter and no bottoming. I can only guess what it would feel like on twelve clicks. (Not really bothered about trying it out!). I have red bushes by the way. All courtesy of owner number 1. Interestingly, last night I shook the rear end side to side vigorously......... and all the movement was in the tyre sidewalls, There was no discernable axle movement relative to the body.

I fitted the Rutherford AVOs and the ride is much plusher (currently on softest setting), but still nothing like a land rover on coil springs would be on your farm track!
