This thread grew from the note sent by the MSCC FEGP to Centre Secretaries in advance of the NC Meeting on 30 January 2016.

I'm not going to report on the meeting, that will be done in the usual way. But I do want to tell you all, members and nonmembers, that the discussion after lunch was positive, mature and thoughtful and the Centre Secretaries voted through (without any opposition) a resolution that has the potential to totally transform the way the club is run, taking it into the 21st Century. It made me proud to be part of the Management Team.

A significant part of the transformation will be the new website that the new Webmaster is developing.
Who is this genius? Our very own Adrian.

BUT the changes will be far more reaching and fundamental. I'm excited. So if any of you have been thinking of leaving then can I ask you to give us a year to see what happens?
And to those uncertain about joining, please take the plunge. The Club needs the TM Mentality!!

Enough: this is not part of MSCC, and it shouldn't be, but it is a part of the greater Morgan community and just as important as the MSCC.

I have no interest in being an active member of MSCC but have been a passive member since purchasing my Mog about 5 years ago. Why? because I rather like Miscellany. I look forward to it turning up in the post. I abhor reading anything electronic that is greater than perhaps two paragraphs and if there is one thing that would make me give up MSCC membership it would be the demise of the magazine in favour of an online version. The standard of the mag has gone up tremendously over the past year or so, it’s been a long while since I have read about “lunch being served on warm plates”. I would support a moderate increase in MSCC membership costs if it meant making the club financially secure and the mag commercially viable in the printed format. Interesting in a way how someone who can afford to buy a Morgan would complain about the cost of MSCC membership but then perhaps that is how you get to afford a Morgan in the first place.

Jeff

I completely understand your view and in some ways even though I am an IT Tech/Manager and have grown older as the technology has evolved over the last 35 years, I do still like a nice paper publication or book too. I am not going to discuss what may or may not be planned but my proposal is to be all inclusive, and I think it is recognised that Miscellany certainly has merit in itself and should remain for those who wish to continue to enjoy it. How that is achieved and managed in the long term is another question.

Regards
