I continue to use my aero on a regular basis. One long 600 plus mile trip this year, weekend use to a restaurant or golf course on a nice day.For a car I bought as a semi investment toy I am amazed how much the car has grown on me.It is not unusual to take it on little runs to the market...all for me if the weather is good. After every second drive its usually
washed, towel dried and put up with a cover.I consider mine a driving machine that is treated like a trailer queen, just with lots of use.Fluids, oil checked, lights, tire pressure...
checked every other time out.

How do others use their Morgans, some here track their machines, some it looks like take spirited drives to destinations with great roadways and views, some might drive every day. How different do we treat our Morgans, both the new ones and the old...One hundred years of passionate Morgan owners all, but do we view our Morgans different?

Same here really. I've done the trailer queen thing in a past life so this time had no intention of doing that. It's hard finding time in the week after work, but over winter I was out most Saturdays. Funnily enough I've been out less on Summer Saturdays because I have more commitments in Summer but only really noticed that this year. Sundays are mostly family orientated so not many spare. So my normal MO is Saturday mornings. When I retire (wistful look into distance).... which could be April 2013 I intend to be out much more in the Mog. The local MSCC run a midweek monthly YUMMS outing, which is something like "Yorkshire Unwaged Members Meal & Social" which comprises a drive and pub lunch - but right now I just can't make it. I clean my Mog after every outing - that's just the way I am. wink

May be deluding myself, but use car as a daily runabout. It lives outside and has stayed very dry inside so far (two years). Have just had problems with the wiring, but so long as that can be resolved, plan seems to be working.

Will never win any concourse prizes, but agree with an earlier comment that Trads can stand a bit of patina. Like to drive with enthusiasm, +4 does seem to be a pretty useable mix so long as you are happy to work the engine a bit.

Makes me smile on pretty much every journey, and is strangely relaxing to drive.

My aero 8, although track prepped, is a daily driver. Lives outside, is cleaned and polished regularly ( joy of being a detailer ) Does unfortunately get a wee bit wet, water from heater and windows but other than that.
But if weather really bad, or actually have to transport something with a bit of bulk then we have an X5 that i use for pottering about in too.

Daily driver, lives outside but now under a car port (keep motorbikes in the garage).

Average 500 miles per week in the Aero 8. Have done a number of 200 mile plus days in the flat rad when the Aero has been in for a service.

I have all the fluids changed every service, for the sake of a few extra pounds on the bill I think it's worth it.

Will be driving to the Algarve next month for the GT3 races then through Spain to St Tropez for the Aero Club meet.

Garaged but in regular use having done 15000km since I bought her 18 months ago. Most recent long trip being 3400km for the Centenary and next long trip will be North Cape in Norway next June (now that will be a challenge for packing!)

Shooter, I'm not going to the St Tropez meet but if a night stop in Toulouse is convenient for you, just pm me.

Cheers

Car is used evenings, weekends and holidays.
Car is garaged, and I'll probably manage 6000-9000 miles in a year.

So far with elTango I've covered 3000 miles in 6 weeks, including the trip to Italy and back.

I should probably buy LHD next time around as I seem to spend a good chunk of my miles on the continent...

Similar usage to Rich when we are in-country, have done 5,000 miles in it so far this year and Le Castellet trip should add another 2.5/3k miles.
