I have been thinking about a rear rack for the car. I do not have bumpers or over riders so this leaves the rather expensive rack on offer by librands.
So I am thinking I could make one myself that sat on the rear wheel locked on by the wire wheel clamp.
I only need a small rack to place a soft sailing bag on. I have been thinking of a L shaped rack that sits on the wheel. Perhaps with some elastic rope netting.
Any thoughts on how strong the spare clamp is and would the rear of the car where the wheel is take this nominal weight?
