Yep. My garage floor is pretty flat, I leave it with the handbrake off in neutral so I can roll it backwards and forwards a few inches whenever I go in there if its not been driven for a few days

I've had my front pads seized a few times when the car went into garage wet. And I use mine every day so it can seize overnight without difficulty. So what I do now is: if the car is wet I drive in and roll to a stop without applying brakes. If I do have to apply brakes I roll the car back a few inches by hand. Obviously, I leave car in gear, no handbrake. I've had no trouble since adopting this practice.

I always have chocs with my tea. I prefer them dark, unlike my wheels and sidescreens.

Had a great day blasting around the back roads of Suffolk in the sunshine yesterday. Spent some of the morning with only a vague idea of where I was but heading in the general direction of Bury St Edmunds and lunch at Krazyhorse. Great fun driving the single track lanes and having to slow enough to read each sign post for some clue as to which way to go. I live about 15 miles from Bury but managed to cover 50 before I parked up at their showrooms.
Enjoyed a great bacon baguette and a cup of hot chocolate before starting the trip home. I picked up my favourite back road route but on reaching the village of Norton decided to turn left instead of right just to drive the fantastic roads up to Thetford. The idea was to turn around at Thetford and drive back just for the fun of it but when I reached the end of the road I decided to turn right on the the old A1066 and head for Diss. Another fine drivers road, lots of room for overtakes and beautiful countryside.
After Diss I had to join the nightmare that is the A140 so decided to drop off and head for the lovely old market town of Eye and follow the winding country lanes down to Debenham before finally heading for home. Fabulous drive evoking the nostalgic driving before Satnavs were invented, some fast driving through beautiful countryside with lunch thrown in at Krazyhorse surrounded by some amazing bikes. I manage 117 miles before reaching home a very happy man! happy3

I hope to get the 8 out this weekend... it's been cleaned, waxed and polished, the exhaust tips look rather good when shined up too.

The weather has been totally rubbish in the limited time I have available to drive it.

How do you put the auto 8 into neutral with the engine stopped by the way? It would be useful to roll it without having to start it. I guess the routine is in the handbook somewhere.

Anyone got a solution for this phenomena?

I have had this happen a few times if the 4/4 has been in anyway wet when put in the garage.
I find that actually gripping the front tyre by hand and moving it one way then the other tends to manage to release the sticking pad.

Thanks for all the advice, but why does it happen on the Morgan? None of the other cars thatI own or have owned, do this including a MGBGT.
As others say they have the same phenomena, is it the disc or pad material that MCC use?

Went to Lavenham for a couple of days recently. Suffolk is like time travel to the 1950's!!!!
There seems to be hardly a major road in the whole county, just a network of perfect lanes. Ideal Morgan location.

To put the auto plus 8 into neutral without the engine running:

Put ignition keys in and undo steering lock, place foot on the brake and the gear lever will move easily into neutral. The car can now be moved quite easily.
