Took the two old girls, wife and +8 .and the lurcner for a nice hood down chilly drive across Gower to Port Eynon. First sunny day for about a month. Car started with full choke, first turn of key.{no fancy electronics.} Great afternoon out. Roll on spring.
.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.
Crossed Dartmoor today;- Bovey Tracey to Widdecombe to Tavistock then back through Holn to Ashburton Exeter. A glorious run but salted roads means I need to do a thorough clean up and a pin greasing A.S.A.P. More of the Moor
Ray set up a short run today. 3cars, one a brand new +4 and our plus8s. It was an inaugural run for Derek and Jackie in their car that has now started to add to the 200 miles or so it has done. Llanelli to Llyn Brianne dam via Bethlehem ( not THAT one!). Royal Oak pub in Rhandirmyn was closed for refurb so back to the Plough in Rhosmaen instead for a lateish lunch. Weather held out ok, we missed a shower that hit Llandovery. Saw some snow on the hills. An enjoyable day out with hoods down for a change!
I picked my 4/4 up from Morgan France yesterday and had a wonderful drive back home in glorious sunshine. The route took right through the centre of Paris; along the banks of the Seine, past Notre Dame and the Louvre, across the Place de la Concorde and up the Champs Elysées. Smiles and waves all around from the tourists, with many a photo of the Mog being included in their souvenirs of a trip to gay Paree. Happy days.
