Hi , I would like to buy some electric relays for my 2009 [November] plus 4 , for emergencies- spares . Could someone tell me the part numbers and equivalents. I believe they are for the fuel pump, cooling fan, ignition ecu, wiper. Also do I have to take the dashboard off to replace them. thanks Andy

There are 6 in the pack, 1 unique and 5 identical.

Looking from the drivers seat the one on the far right is taller and is the wiper and wiper delay relay....then working to the left the next 5 are 'Starter', 'Fuel Pump', 'Ignition/ECU', 'Cooling Fan Low', 'Cooling Fan High'.

There have been many number changes over the years but the important thing is they must be Diode Protected type to look after any back EMF to the ECU.

OE they are made by Tyco and the numbers are 10R 02 7025 or as I say its equivalent. I would carry a couple, as I say the main 5 are interchangeable and you can always 'borrow' the fan low to get you home!

Dash removal makes the job easier but is not required if your flexible and also removing the plastic dash under tray on later cars makes the job a whole deal easier.

As far as you know,is the info. re relays pertinent to the latest cars or have things changed?

The location has certainly changed as there is an electrical centre under the bonnets above the drivers knees on RHD cars. As to the specifics of the relays I am afraid I have no idea sorry? Not worked on the latest cars as they have not worn out their kingpins yet ;-).

If only......I weep at some of the component placement these days, not just on Morgan's either!

Hi Andy, I bought some spare relays a couple of years ago as I had read that the relays can be problematic, after 4.5 years I have not suffered a problem, however to be on the safe side I bought some spares. The equivalents I bought from a company called Mouser Electronics were numbered 0-1432793-1.

I have not tried them. I just keep them just in case.

Whoever dreamed up the idea of putting relays and fuses in inaccessible places needs to be condemned to a hell where a fuse or a relay blows out every 10 minutes or so on a dark and rainy night.

I'm glad to hear that they have "seen the light" on the latest models.

PS. My 2012 car did not come with any indication of which fuse was for what so I made a diagram from information on the wiring diagram. The relays do not include the aircon relays.
