To easily block the centa I made a piece that facilitates immobilization I had already made a tool to immobilize the previous torque damper and tightened the nut to 23 kg + Loctite, I can not find the tightening torque at S & S, at 18.5 kg harley he advocated for the nut Crankshaft someone knows the correct tightening torque?. 100 ft lbs torque seems very high converted kilograme (45.35 kg).
I assembled damper Centa and paste the splines with Loctite quick metal 660. For disassembly without problems I make an extractor for not working as a wild and anything damaging.
JVS/GLL, I'm trying to drill the compensator housing to install a zerk and am finding the housing on mine VERY hard and can't get the drill bit to bite. Feels like the housing is case hardened? Any help appreciated. PS My M3W is 2012 and compensator not noisy yet, but I'd like to be ready, Thanks
The torque damper housings are made of aluminum (duralumin), it pierces easily, check the status of your wick or the direction of rotation of the machine. The installation of a grease can be done without removing mechanical already drilling a 20mm diameter hole in the casing to reach the torque damper.
