hello, for the technical forummers... owning a 4/1978 4/4 1.6 2 seater... left and right indicators does not working anymore... however hazard 4 blinkers at once is correctly working... found two small lucas indicator relays under the dasch near glove box, swithed them (from left to right) and 4 blinkers (hazard) is still working, but indicators l+r apart not... there is a difference in blinking intermittante speed when relais are swithed with the one in the original place pretty much more rapid then when the other one is plugged in, in the hazard mode... what should be the problem, cause,???... the device on the steering wheel (horn, dip indicator) seems to be ok, all others is working.... however... it seems to me.. that this (the steering colum device)should be the cause ???... any other things to look for ???... is this a common fault ?.. i seems that both blinker boxes (relays) are ok with the exception that one is more rapid then the other...
rgds Herman.. thnks in advance for advice.

sounds like a poor earth [ground] connection. I would start with the bulbs and bulb holders, checking for corrosion and loose wires. sherlock

@ Easter...well, i thought this too, but if there was anything like this you mentioned the 4 blinkers would then also "not" work either, and they (hazard)work just perfect, and the blinker Lucas relay's seems to work both also (only in the hazard mode), with a small difference in blinking speed.....

Ok problem solved.... was somewhere a lose or bad contact underneath dashboard... did replug every wire, and used electric contact spray on wires... seems to work fine for now...
