The 4.1:1 conversion on the 4/4 is a fabulous modification. Really changes the whole character of the car.

4/4s always used to have 4.1:1 back axles, i think they might have gone to 3.7:1 to standardise with the rest of the range, but to my mind there's absolutely no doubt that 4.1:1 is the perfect ratio for a 4/4

1) really transforms the car.
2) unfortunately the cutting of the gears is not the best, so some are a little noisy.

Check your owners book. I think the ratio is listed there - which does not necessarily mean the it is identical in reality. (.... it's a Morgan, Sir!)

Crown wheel and pinion is 1200 €, plus at least 800 € for the conversion. That's a lot of money. The question is, is worth the money?
