Reluctantly I am considering putting my 1969 4/4 2 seater Competition up for sale. This is a project car. I took it off the road a few years ago as the chassis and woodwork were getting to be uneconomical to repair. I have been collecting parts for the intended rebuild however I never seem to have the time to make a real start and now I have acquired some property which needs considerable work so the rebuild will stall even further, hence my considering the sale of the Morgan.

New Parts including -

Galvanised Chassis
Wood frame clad in aluminium including doors by Vintage Sheet Metal
Rutherford rear suspension kit
Brake master cylinder
Clutch Master cylinder
Clutch slave cylinder
Clutch complete
Head gasket set
NOS steel bulkhead
NOS steel inner wings
NOS cowl
Reconditioned Weber Carb
Water pump

Other Parts -

Everything is there to complete the re-build including

Steel wings, need repaint
Fuel tank
Steering box - needs new bearings
Stainless steel manifold and silencer
Super Sport seats
Moto lita steering wheel
Bonnets needs repaint
1600 Cross Flow Kent engine which was running very well prior to taking the car off the road.
Gearbox was working well but I would have had it stripped and rebuilt.
Rear Axle was fine and not making any unusual noises
Leaf springs, just need cleaning up

There are numerous other small parts to complete the rebuild, it will ideally need a re-trim.

As mentioned, but for the chassis and woodwork issues this car would still be on the road and running as all other parts were functioning well

The Morgan has a nice (I think) registration number POE 25G and is obviously tax exempt with cheap classic car insurance.
It would make a nice project / retirement project for someone with the time to complete it. I may put an ad in Miscellany as there always seems to be someone looking for a project. If it does not sell it will stay in the garage until hopefully I have the time in future to do something with it.

The price is £9750 Firm. Please PM me but only if you are really interested in buying.

Thanks in advance
John

This is an honest sale
