Congrats on your new car..I agree with your comments about it feeling like a track car when I was a passenger at the TM factory meet.I hope you get used to it.
Noise was ok...no worse than my 4/4 with sports exhaust I thought.

Whilst the ARP4 at WOT is indeed a noisy beast, I was struck by how civilised it all seemed when bimbling through traffic. With the hood up, it was much quieter than my car would have been in the same conditions. The suspension didn't feel too hard to me either, and I like a nice compliant ride. First thing I'd look at would be the tyre pressures.

suspension might get softer when it settles in
otherwise: have you bought the right car? you seem to want to change a lot on it?

really looking forward to give Thierry's AR4+ some serious poking ;-)
and comparing it to the GT4

No. I thought Pauls feedback was simply recounting his first 80 miles of experience!
No suggesting that the car was wrong for him?

Unless I have misread ?

Thanks everyone. It is most certainly the right car, it just needs a few tweaks to personalise it for me, and I'm sure it will improve with miles as it settles in.

I've dropped the tyre pressures to 22 from 24, as suggested, so it'll be interesting to see what difference that makes. I also have a feeling that when the silencer gets a bit of carbon in it, it'll sound a little smoother. Surprisingly, the intake noise is relatively subdued, possibly down to the roller barrel intake.

The standard of fit and finish is most impressive and it is a super place to be.

I look forward to running reports from other owners, as and when.

I was thinking exactly the same and I would appreciate it a lot if I could do a test drive even as the copilot with an ARP4 over here. With the Omex Plus4SS the throttle noise was sharp and loud at lower and mid revs (particularly with me steering on the left side where the TBs are mounted).
I could imagine that the roller barrel intake will seal the noise at half throttle to a certain degree since butterflies always let it through.
Again thanks, Paul for sharing your first impressions. I imagine you will have a lot of joy with her.
