So we know that James (Olleyjp) collects tattoos , Aeroman cars , Julf military vehicles, Graham Landrovers and at least one other member weapons; however, joking aside, does anyone collect anything and if so, do they want to share their obsession? I'm a great fan of music - of all kinds - but don't really consider my copious amounts of CDs a collection per say but I do have a passion for vintage watches. At the moment my focus is on the 1960s and 1970s, predominantly because this is a period in time where designers were starting to become quite avant-garde and therefore watches were becoming quite interesting. Omega in particular started to push the boundaries to create some watches that could pass as contemporary pieces now. Here are a few to get the ball rolling. Pictures of some of your collection would be great! Late 1970s Omega Seamaster 120m - so called Baby PloProf 1969 Omega Speedmaster Mark2 - Racing dial (not my photo) 1970 Omega Memomatic (automatic with mechanical alarm) Again, early 70's Omega Seamaster Chronograph And lastly, a Bulova Accutron 666 electric dive watch. Come on, who is next!?!

One of my hobbies, some find it strange, you either love it or hate it, (like Marmite), is to collect antique taxidermy and African hunting trophies. This started when I was a child, I used to collect tiny animal skulls, found in old, discarded milk bottles. I've got 60 plus sets of antelope horns and a number of other related items and dozens of glass cased birds and animals. I have tried to do some taxidermy myself, however I decided to leave it to the professionals! Like an artist I am very critical of my own work...Harvey

My collecting is Antique Technical / Engineering Drawing Instruments. It relates to the frustration I had wanting to become an Architect in my youth and failing. My son is a very successful Architect but typically shows no interest in my collections of around 40 boxed sets as in the photos below. A general View of some boxes and individual pieces. More Boxes. An Individual Box and a Proportional Divider My Oldest Piece - a Brass Ink Pen I have collected quite a few Ink Pens separately. I just love the Hand Made (Mostly in Holbourn London a hundred years ago.

Some good tool boxes there Frank.... As you may recall, I collect empty wine bottles, corks and foils. I find wooden wine boxes rather alluring, and I also collect Waitrose olive containers. And I research and collect neoprene sheet. But only in black & grey, even though it's available in a range of colours. I'm mad.........

H3 - some lovely watches there. Is the one on the Nato strap a Seiko? I have a Seiko Prospex 600m (Japan) only, which I really like. Such a well built watch. Harvey - each to their own but I can understand why your collection divides opinion. Have you struggled to find pieces as the government tighten their restrictions on 'trophy' products? I don't know a lot about it but I have a friend who used to sell antiques and I was amazed at some of the restrictions placed on the sale of certain items. I can understand 'new' products but ones that have been manufactured ages ago seems a little like closing the door after the horse has bolted. Frank - I can understands your fascination with technical instruments. Looks like you have some very interesting pieces. Dave - by collecting wine boxes, I assume this is a result of copious consumption
