My plus eight could do with a re-trim as the interior is generally tired, and a split in the passengers seat. Although the boy racer in me would really like, a twin pipe sports exhaust system, it currently has a single pipe system. But I can't quite make my mind up. I might just be able to stretch to a full re-trim. But not both. I thought that the retrim might and to the cars value? Any Thoughts.

I would take it to Allon White's regarding the interior, it may just need cleaning and mending. As for the exhaust, I think all V engines should have twin exhausts.

I......... As for the exhaust, I think all V engines should have twin exhausts. As an absolute minimum....!! I like the rule that for every 2 cylinders there should be an exhaust, but on a V12 it can be a bit OTT...

The split can be repaired easily and cheaply. A full re-trim? Only if it really needs it. Leather can ce restored and what you don't get with a re-trim is patina. The car is 19 years old; nothing wrong with that.
A for an twin exhaust, fine but consider very carefully before going side exhausts - it can be very tiresome on longer runs.

It's a sports car. Anything that makes it go faster, stop quicker, or handle better Must Be Done. Anything else is frippery.
Mend the split. Buy the exhaust. You know it makes sense.

Mine has the dual Librands system and trust me this is not a decision to put off, at +/- 1,500rpm the popping away on over run is enjoyed by all. It really barks when you floor it too, as has been said the side pipes get tiring. Long distances are at an acceptably enjoyable volume with mine. I don't hear any advise from the navigator with the top off so it's all good http://www.librands.co.uk/products-view-96.htmlGood luck with whatever you decide.

Thanks for all you thoughts and recommendations, It certainly makes sense to have the upholstery repaired and cleaned and get a Librands sports exhaust. I think I will pop into Allon Whites in the next couple of weeks and see what they have to say. I will let you know how I get on!!

Far be it from me to do Allon White out of some work but any skilled upholstery trimmer will be able to put in a repair panel although getting the colour match right might be a tad of a challenge particularly with ageing. Standard Morgan seats and upholstery is pretty basic.
