I certainly have never been dissapointed with Autoglyms HD wax
I've been using it on all my cars since it first came out and I find it very easy to use - I warm the sponge by using hot water and giving it a good squeeze out then very lightly apply a thin layer
Let it cure and then lightly buff off in straight lines with a fine microfibre
The car has to be very clean and dry first
I also really like Maguiars Ultimate Quik Detailer for a quick shine
After using polishing compounds with a mechanical polisher, I don't think I will use a polish by hand again - I don't think it does anything

Dave, if all mog owners treat there mogs body like there wife wished to be treated and should be treated ASK HER . Your car would sparkle .Hence why  calls mine the mistress .  Its not what you've got its the way that you use it . Totally agree. Polishing and/or waxing is an art. Paint responds like a hardish liquid and practice will improve the result. Also different techniques and products suit some colours better than others.

Starbrite, Premium Marine Grade Polish with PTFE. is good easy to apply and gives a water barrier shine. Not cheap but a little does go a long way. Available from boat chandlers or on-line.

I solved all my problems. I convinced my wife to use super glue rather than lip stick.
The bruising from the bat she used is almost gone.

I thought I'd try Dodo juice purple haze.. My word it's impressive ! On my dark green it comes up a treat and easy to use...
