I have one bought for my +4 when it lived outside. I'll have to see if I have any info - I suspect the receipt was in the last 4/4 file when it went to a new home... Lightweight, but definitely waterproof and full vehicle coverage.

Cover was from Heart of England. Receipt says "Lightweight outdoor car cover" £90 Make me an offer - I'll check its condition first though Belay that - rodents had got at it, so it's in the bin...

I have a John Taylor cover. It covers the hood area and the bonnet grooves but not all the car.
worked very well when the car was outside one year from Aug -Dec whilst our house was remodeled.

I have one of John Taylor's standard tybond covers, but generally used indoors. I see he also does a double layer 'superior' version which would probably be more suitable for your purposes and still reasonably priced.

My car lives outside all the time. I have 4 covers in all. A heavyweight lined one for snow or high winds, two lightweight cheap Halfords small nylon ones and a custom John taylor storm cover that covers the rear mohair wheel cover. The Halfords covers are very light weight and blow about a lot but tend to allow air underneath to cut down condensation, they have not damaged the paintwork as they are very light. The light covers are rotated according to the weather forecast and are dried on low heat in a tumble drier. You cannot do this with a heavy weight cover. With the hood up i have found the heavy cover scuffs the Mohair fabric on the roof frame as it shuffles about in wind so i keep the hood down mostly. The biggest problem is from condensation under the covers so there is often a small pool of water on the tonneau cover after heavy rain, not too bad though.

Do you have space for one of the tent type garages?

+1, the outdoor Carcoon type are good but a bit of a paint to erect. Have you seen the Machine Mart temporary garages? Worth a look if you have the room for one.

I have had two Metex car covers from Hamilton Classics over the past 6 years - the first got eaten by mice after about 4 years. Cost about £150 but it has 5 layers so it breathes so can be put on a wet car. It also has a fleecy type lining so does not scratch or rub. My 4/4 lives outside & I have found these excellent.Only thing is not to put it over a dirty car as then grit will get in the fleece & scratch. They say it is not 100% waterproof - but I have found mine to be does not leak even if there is a big puddle in the cockpit well area. Beware covers that are not lined - in windy Wales they will damage your paintwork which looking at the photo would be a shame.
