Richard,
Brilliant picture which goes so well with the "Sniff Petrol" item about Fernando.
It's a real shame that his car is currently not very good as I feel he is still one of the very best drivers out there.
I would love to see him paired with Hamilton, that would be a race to watch.

Here for a good time not a long time!!

This (yesterday morning) was much more frightening - an old car on an old circuit. Miraculously, the driver's worst injury was a broken collarbone...

Both were very lucky boys, probably the guy at good wood more so as cars that old don't have the inherent safety cells etc that a modern f1 car has. If all he broke was his collar bone, he should be saying a thankful prayer or two.

I liked the background comment near the end of the video: "Bloody hell!"

I think that would have been my comment too.

That Goodwood crash really brings into focus the differing safety aspects of motor racing. Classic racers just don't hold back. I wonder how a current F1 driver would fare in a 50s race car and if the lack of safety would hold him back?

I expect Hamilton and young Verstappen would go for it and that young Verstappen would be dead within five laps.
