I hear the Australian Government Design Regulations are going to change to require all Australian versions of the Morgan to have a Jarrah frame hide

The frame would then be stiffer than the chassis.

Jarrah (or swan river mahogany as they used to call it in colonial times) would be no good for that purpose - it's too hard and tight grained. For body framing you need something with a bit of flex to it.

The floor of my pub is of Jarrah. Very robust and hard wearing it is too.

cheers

p.s. You beat me to it Richard !!

Typical BBC hype...
Yes, there is a problem.
BUT no one is predicting the long term consequences.
This LINK explains in a more rational way.

My guess is that it will be 30 to 50 years before MMC has a problem and by then all the ash in a Morgan will have been replaced by modern carbon based composites.

Actually Ash is a biologically generated carbon based composite material!!

We're following this one closely as we've got three mature ash trees at the bottom of the garden providing us with great quality firewood as the large branches calve off each year.

The German and British forces did their best to deplete stocks in Belgium during The Great War but the factory carried on albeit ruining a few saw blades on the shrapnel, so I wouldn't worry too much other countries can grow it.
