On receiving my renewal for breakdown cover from Green Flag .altough the .1991 Morgan is stated on the policy.
In the smaller print it states does not include recovery of a car 16 years and over.
Will phone them on Tuesday to check .
Any suggestion to suitable cover.
It will cost me a tenner to cancel!

Quite a few banks offer their current accountant holders lots of different insurances including breakdown cover, usually for changing to a fee paying account. It can work out cheaper and you get the other benefits of the account as well.

It is usualy just breakdown cover in that they will tow you to a garage within a short distance.

If you are expecting relay that does not usually come with a freebie on a bank account if I remember correctly.

I've gone back to the RAC due to vehicle ages.
Discounted with IAM membership. I do have to argue the cost each year though...
The insurance I used to have stated a 17 yo max vehicle age, even though they did cover my '76 car for a while, allegedly. Never made a claim, but felt it would be too easy for them to turn round and say I wasn't covered...
What a salesman tells you and reality are often 2 different scenarios...

For UK cover, we use the add on element of a Barclays paid account.
With the travel insurance that the account also provides, it is quite a saving over any other means of getting the same thing. It also provides mobile phone insurance for both of us as well as gadget insurance (breakage etc) on SWMBO's iPad.

For Europe wide on the Morgan, then we rely on the Morgan Rescue cover from Headley - at £24.15 when last renewed I don't mind being double covered for the UK. Just checked and it covers all Morgans and any classics over 15 years old.

I use a Europe Wide Breakdown Policy supplied as an extra to my Morgan car insurance (through Gott and Wynne in Llandudno). If memory serves me correctly the premium was less than £30 (and of course it only covers the Morgan). Not sure if you can take it out in isolation or if it has to be taken out with your annual insurance. Worth a check with G&W though. Although I have yet to use my cover in anger, I seem to remember speaking with a chap at Devamog who had the same policy and had been successfully recovered from Italy to UK (he was not happy about breaking down in the first place of course, but nice to know that the car will get home safely and one less thing to worry about).

I'm with Gott and Wynne as well, breakdown cover used to be included FOC but is now £20 extra per annum. Well worth it for peace of mind IMHO.
