Finally got out in the Morgan this morning. 25 mile drive in the warm spring sunshine to visit the niece in Marston Moretaine and drop off pressies for the kids. They weren't in. Ah well, long way home then!
Haven't driven a Morgan in such nice weather before - think I may need to keep some sunscreen in the car!

What a fabulous day it's been. I too had my first drive in the Morgan without needing the thermals, but where to go? Then I remembered I "needed" to pick up my tickets for tomorrows Worcester Warriors rugby match. I suppose I could have picked them up before the match tomorrow, but that might mean queueing in the rain, so off I went along the minor roads having such great fun.

My only disappointment: why did every farmer in Worcestershire chose today to get out the muckspreader and head out onto the same roads?

Nice trip around the lanes and Slapton village to visit a bell ringing friend and on the journey back passed a white TR3, big Healey 3000 in silver and gunmetal looked lovely and finally an MG midget chrome bumper model in green.

Exchanged greetings all round.

Just an excuse to check out the new fan relay wink.

It was too nice to stay indoors today, wasn't it..? Mrs SBM came home from her school trip yesterday, so we left the case in the boot of her car and went for a drive in the 4/4.

Bimbled over to The Moorings at Crick for a lovely brekkie in the sunshine watching the canal barges chug gently by, and staring at the Morgan in the car park. Cracking sausage from this place went down very well..!!

Trekked across country to let the breakfast settle, and down to Towcester for a catch up with my god daughters mum before heading across to Hartwell and sis-in-law's place.

By the time I'd got home, I'd got a windburnt & sunburnt forehead..!!

The icing on the cake was being able to manoeuvre the car into the garage backwards & thus able to open the internal door for patting purposes before bedtime..

Lovely day & brilliant car

love

Had great fun today charging around the back lanes of Gloucestershire fro a couple of hours. I washed the car when I got back, as it hadn't been cleaned since before the MMC visit at the end of January.

I was pleased at how the wax is holding up, I last waxed it back in October and although I haven't done that many miles in the last 5 months, the rinsing water still beaded up nicely.

Had to move the mog to get the missus hardtop hung up on the wall in the garage so while I was at it went for a 50 odd mile circuit just for the heck of it, a nice sunny spring day accompanied with a V6 soundtrack what's not to like.

Decided to not clean it as it's not its birthday!

Rolled the Plus 8 out yesterday. (Pouring rain today.) I took my nephew for a ride to the Auto Parts store. He was visiting colleges and stayed a few days.

It's funny, and I guess it happens to us all, but that trusty can of lube or twist of wire has to finally give out. I needed copper slip and safety wire. Well, last time I bought these things was years ago. I don't remember having a problem then. Well, yesterday, I got mostly blank stares. Safety wire?? What's it for?? We have speaker wire!! Oh, no. Finally, they tracked down the oldest store employee to ask. We found something but it was too thin to be safety wire. Copper slip, nothing close. So I reverted to the internet. I ordered enough of both for my life time anyway, so I won't have to go through this again. I wonder what will run out next . . . .

Cheers,

Mark

Would love to get to Sandy Park sometime to experience a Chiefs welcome, but have to take my son to Luton airport next week.
