Sospan, I tend to agree but we buy with a view to a long term use of the car. Still really not sure what we will do.

My 1.6 TDCI returns 56mpg over 62,000mls I know it's not as clean as a battery job but with £20 road fund licence I see no reason to pay a premium for the outlay of a battery car. I have one of those as well and I agree. Mine is fitted with a TDI Tuning box which made a huge difference in power delivery and increased MPG.

Sospan, I tend to agree but we buy with a view to a long term use of the car. Still really not sure what we will do. John , go and test drive your top five possibles and rate them for excitement , don't bother driving anything you will not wish to pay the price for !
