I am thinking of buying the 2016 MTW and like to know if they fixed all the problems and bugs I keep reading about in this Forum? Moreover my plans is to tour all around Western Europe for a few months in MTW. Am I too optimistic to plan such a trip in MTW. Is it reliable for a tour like this? I did this road trip in 2013 in Can-Am Spyder RT limited for Four and half months.

The main "features" have been "fixed" so I'd go for it.
There's a thread about the long journies many of us have done with no problems.

Osama the main bugs seem to have been fixed but there will always be niggles & fettling to be done. On a tour you will need to carry a toolkit & items like wire, duct tape & cable ties. Bear in mind service intervals are short 3000 miles. Front tyres may last 6000 miles. You may want to consider the Fairbourne Carriages full width windscreen. They do two versions with different heights. Or the Morgan screen which could be speced on ordering. I have no experience of luggage racks. Packing light will be essential. A woollen shirt can be worn for 4 days & then put in the freezer overnight to 'refresh' it. Go for it & keep us posted on progress.

One has to be an optimist running a M3W. Some are reliable, some are not. At least I would carry a list of all Morgan dealers with me on an international tour but I would not be scared to cross Europe

I would suggest that the 30 month 30,000 mile warranty the factory now offer shows confidence on their part at least.

If you're basing your extended holiday on internet feedback, my guess is you're just at the 'Hmm, that's a good idea' stage. Spend some time on researching these pages & make your own mind up. Opinions are fine, but facts are best, and as the question was your first post I'm guessing you haven't searched much. Good hunting & have a good trip, we'd all be very interested in seeing your pictures if you do decide it's the holiday car for you.

I am thinking of buying the 2016 MTW ... I would recommend reading Peter Dron's book as a start. I got my M3W in Oct15 and am planning a trip to Spain in Jun16. I'll get recovery cover (and take the obligatory spare bulbs etc and maybe a front wheel inner tube). If you are worried - consider renting one for the trip? Maybe hire a second hand one you like with an option to buy?

I have been fancying MTW for a year and been reading extensively about it. There are many quality issues with early models, and I hope the factory has sorted these problems in this year Model.

Osama,
I have a 2016 model...maybe the first one. I've read everything about the car from introduction to present. They will never be as reliable as Toyota or Honda, but that's not why we buy them. The HUGE concerns of the early models (cracked exhausts, cracked chassis, bad compensator, bad bevel boxes) have all been addressed. Will the new Centa drives have issues after 20,000 miles? Will the new steel sprockets have issues down the road? The car will always be a gamble. Enjoy knowing our peers on here paid the price for our somewhat relaxed attitude in spending 50K on a go cart with reliability issues.
The Original Ken 11,000 miles.
