I tried it a while back, firmly put off by a player who complained that I was casting a shadow across the green and would I move..

I've never been tempted by golf, but the folks who play at the local course on Minchinhampton Common seem to be pretty dedicated. I am always amused in the summer when the cows are out to see them lounging around on the greens, I suspect they do it deliberately to thwart the golfers

Three golfers were playing, all from high tech companies. One stops on the fairway and touches his ear... "Just taking a message from head office on our new in-ear messager" Not bad the others say. Later number 2 stops, starts talking as if to himself... "Just taking a phonecall using our in-ear speaker and tooth mic. Not bad the others say. A bit later golfer 3 goes off into the bushes. After a few minutes the others go un search. They see him squatting with trousers at his ankles and paper dangling... " Oh my God" they say.. "It's ok " he replied, " just getting a fax from head office" Disclaimer : No fish were harmed during this episode.
