I think you will finds it was the Russians as far the war in Europe is concerned. The death toll on both sides of what they call the great patriotic war was incredible. No dishonor to the US & UK but these guys really tied the Nazis up

Uh...talking about why 3/5 means March 5th, versus May 3rd... US vs GB. That would mean the revolutionary war. Lol

I knew that (worked for a US corporation for 25 years). Still thought it was worth a joke whilst our transatlantic cousins were sleeping...

I thought it was the Americans that didn't do irony

Well, one shouldn't count a winner as the one with the biggest body count. Uncle Joe managed to fell a fair few of his own folks too. US trucks gave the Russians the mobility / supply chain to beat Patton to Berlin, but then again the Soviet Empire gained the most land post-'45 so probably you are right...

On a further side note, with the American love of lbs and inches together with out-of-order date formats (seriously: month-day-year? who thought that was better?), perhaps Morgan should set up a factory there? Maybe next to the S&S factory? Would stop the complaints about delivery costs! wink
