i have 4 pot front brakes and rear disc brakes on my 1985 +8inj. where can i get a larger diameter master cylinder (twin line system) or will i have to fit two separate cylinders and a balance bar. The reason for doing this is to eliminate too much pedal travel.

Does your master cylinder have an integral fluid revervoir? I suspect that it will have.

Without knowing the specifics of your set-up, I suspect that your 'long' pedal is due to the kick-back associated with your rear disks.

I have dual master cylinders with balance bar adjustment. The cylinders are Girling cylinders of different bore size to get the front/rear balance close. The balance bar is for fine tuning for dry and wet braking.

I suggest that you approach a Morgan specialist with race car set-up experience. Alternatively, you can PM me for details of my car's spec, etc.

Hi Manuel, your car is the same year as mine. I have good friends that live in Rendsburg; they own an original, un-marked 1980 Plus Eight.

I read the thread as I was about to suggest speak to Peter Mulberry.

For what it's worth, the parts illustrated on Mulfab's website are very similar to those fitted to my car so I'd also recommend speaking to Peter Mulberry.

Thanks for the information I will give Mulfab a ring, I realise they supply the parts but do they also carry out the work?
