Loosing some weight: My wife completely agrees with "itsjustme", but is not a real option.

Hip replacement? I really like the M3W. But have one artificial hip already. Not looking for increasing that number....

But the real question is whether an aftermarket modification is possible for a real solution. And if the factory or a dealer sees sufficient demand to develop such mod?

Personally I will settle for a situation where I can drive the Morgan comfortably for about 100 miles, but on the other hand I find it perhaps unnecessary if a mod could be made available to fully enjoy the M3W.....

I don't want to belabor the point, but if the issue is weight..the size of your butt...then it might be easier to modify the seat than the pedal box.

It's getting a bit personal now, but size of butt is not the issue. My 37 inch legs are.

I read a lot about (lack of) legroom. As indicated I tried a car where all modifications were done and it was still a struggle.

Am I the only one who would prefer to order a M3W (or modify an existing car as Morganmatt did) with more legroom?? Assuming ofcourse such a mod would become available.

Technically it seems possible (see post of Morganmatt).

Why not start a sort of petition here? If there is such demand, we can inform the factory or perhaps interest a dealer to develop such a modification.

If there is no or too little demand, I will see whether I can do such a mod here locally in the Netherlands.

Quiet belt drive?
Reliable technology?
A fuel gauge reading the actual petrol level?

Im sorry to say, I don't think they sell enough to worry about us tall people.

The Austrian doesn't get it. I can and will drive the M3W with a troublesome bevel box. Same goes for a noisy belt drive, etc.

But I can't drive it with presently available leg room.

So it seems, there is no or too little demand to have such a modification available as Morganmatt developed.

I am a bit surprised, as I thought (lack of )leg room is an issue for plenty of drivers.

I'm sure the "One Size Fits All" was never envisaged to be an issue when the car was first conceived, after all they'd only intended to make a small handful when they were launched.

With the car now being such a mainstay of the firms output, there is an argument for another way of accommodating differing sizes of driver inside the cockpit. There is no adjustment of the seating, which means it's not always suitable for female drivers for example.

We don't know what the envisaged production length will be, with pressures on emissions etc creating such time consuming by-products of development time for the numerous markets the car is now sold in, that to spend time and valuable resources on catering for a minority of short or tall drivers may not be a productive exercise for Morgan.

I envisage the answer lying with an aftermarket solution, and utilising a conversion package from someone who IS able to develop a better driver fit system and offer it as an aftermarket product rather than a production line change.

It certainly wouldn't stop me wanting one if I needed help with seating, I'd just seek out someone who could 'do' for me.
