I guess that poor monster V-Twin is so choked, it runs hotter from not being able to inhale and therefore needs its poor headers wrapped! Glad I got to live during a time ( before autonomous cars) when I could actually drive unassisted and unguided behind the wheels of some visceral cars.
The wrapped headers on the Australian market cars are to protect people from getting burnt...as are the engine covers. Tough lot the Aussies!
Makes you wonder how they manage with traction engines, because they are quite hot. and they have a lot of them!
