A pleasant and sociable trip to Curborough to spectate at the club Sprint Taster - everybody looked like they were really enjoying themselves - and all stayed on the black bits while I was there too.

Going on a ten day trip to Holland in early May for my first ever proper Mog tour with two Mogs. Just off tomorrow for three days in Wiltshire to give it a good run out. Where did you go in NL? There is a very active MSCC scene out there.

Bought a new cap this afternoon to keep the sun out of my eyes. So naturally took I had to take it for a test drive. Had a lovely rumble round some of the little villages between here and Towcester. I discovered some lovely little roads that are perfect the for the Morgan. Just great. smile

Lived in Holland in mid 70's driving HGVs to Middle East in the pioneering days before there were proper roads !!...often just oil drums marking out the way across deserts.

The English passport got us through borders that the Dutch passport couidn't

Lived in Haarlem and Zevenem....still got some good friends there.

Would move back in a heartbeat !!!

Nice little afternoon jaunt in the sunshine from home to Kingsbridge on the inland route and return on the coastal road.

This early retirement is good thumbs.

Only car of interest was a Jaguar 420G who simply had to overtake me and break the speed limit along Slapton Line.
I caught and overtook him coming up out of Strete Gate though on the hill he just seemed to run out of puff nono

I have driven my new to me Aero for the past 3 days, and covered 374 miles, up to Curborough and back via Graham's (G4FUJ) and Jays and a pit stop at Williams.

A variety of conditions from glorious sunshine to rain and spray on the motorway. the car performed superbly, no water leaks when driving, and handles great. Time to give is a wash and pamper.

cheers

Adrian

Didn't see you Richard. We took the 10.20 bus to Torcross and walked back to Dartmouth. A lot of damage at Torcross from the high seas yesterday, and dozens of starfish washed up. Plus even more erosion towards the road.

I guess you will have been a little closer the tide line than I was Dave, you had a nice day for it, a friend of mine picked up a plaice off the beach yesterday morning with the rough tides. I got home around 1600 time.
