Hello,

I am about to buy a 4/4 Sports... and it looks like I may even able to secure one within this year :-)
Therefore I would like to chat with a few of you guys already owning an 4/4 Sports and clarify a few open questions I have.

Thanks for helping a newbie!

hello Wilhelm,
I recently bought a 4/4 Sport (june 2009, already 6500 kms), color grey, with rollbar and 4-point safety belt and a luggage rack as options. My former Morgan was a 4/4 4-seater (1991), which I drove for 17 years. The difference between these 2 Morgans is tremendous; the new Morgan is much lighter (aluminium), has very light steering for a Morgan and plenty of power in the first 4 gears; the 5th gear is an overdrive, suitable for highway cruising. The overall build quality is much improved and the looks (lowered suspension) are great and quintessential Morgan and sports car in general. It's ,in my opinion the Morgan "ŕ l'état pur"!
Initially I had some motor management system problems, but they have been sorted out. I would say don't hesitate and buy that Morgan model!

Hi Wilhelm,
I can only agree with Bart. Indeed also from my side a couple of issues in the beginning, but now all sorted out. I used to have a '77 4/4, but this new 4/4S is much more fun to drive with. Back to basics, with all the fun parts and no annoying "side-kicks". If you need more info, don't hesitate to ask;
Good luck and safe driving,

Hi all...
I have now had my 44 Sport for over a year now, I picked it up from the press launch day so it was really the first production car.
The only problems I have had were all small niggly ones which were sorted out by RPM in Perth (great dealership).
Does anyone know anything about the new 'Sport Exhaust' on the malvern website shop section?

Hi Basilisk et al
I have had my 4/4 sport in Grey from March this year. Such a fantastic fun car to own and drive. I must admit the driving miles have not clocked up fast due to other commitments, but in the meantime I have enjoyed doing many changes (mostly cosmetic) to the car over the time period. I already have the Sports Exhaust as fitted by the factory, but over the next couple of weeks the car will be retro-fitted with the complete Track Day Pack by my local dealer. so will look like D'herde Barts when finished.
PS Any chance that you can post a couple of photos of your car with the track pack ?
PSii You will find original photos of my car in the TM gallery thanks to Simon when he visited the factory back in Feb this year, although it does look a lot different now.

Hello all,
it is nice to see all the replies. Would love to see a few pictures of your 4/4s as they look today!

... looks like I am still the only one going for Sports Red ?! Am I just crazy?? laugh2

As you have seen from my other posts I am still looking for the 'right' steering wheel, have not made my mind up on having a radio on board while avoiding the rod antenna, etc... confused2

I talked to a few UK dealers in the meantime and received first offers. I am suprised how much prices differ from one dealership to the next. shocked2 And it is not always transparent which items (e.g. door handles, elasticated door pockets,...) are fitted by the dealer or will be ordered from the factory directly. That makes it hard to compare the prices.

Basilisk

I went to the launch of the 44 Sport last year and loved the red cars they had there. The red painted dash looked so different, it was my wife who talked me out of it and I went for black.

Incidently the Sports Exhaust is superb
You can't go wrong with a Morgan and the 44 Sport is a great version
