Hi guys
Very very reluctantly and after three years and twenty thousand miles I am putting the old girl up for sale.
Will attempt to post on the for sale forum but thought I should say goodbye to my fellow travellers.
For the most part I have thoroughly enjoyed the ride. The 3W is most certainly not the same vehicle that I bought in 2012 and we have been through every conceivable mod together. The only originals bits left are the wheels, gearbox and leather!!!
The 3 W is a brilliant drive but the time has come to move on or maybe back to motorcycles.
If anyone knows someone who really wants a 3W but just cant afford a new one she will make an excellent buy( if I can work out what on earth a 20,000 mile 3W with a 2014 chassis and body is really worth)
I am sorry to be leaving the fold but recent issues regards a small repair the factory should pay for( a brand new body that developed a small crack within weeks of fitting: they didnt tell the dealer that the new bodies have reinfocing plates fitted) and their attidude to me as a loyal customer have left a really bitter taste in my mouth.
I continue to be concerned about Morgans long term commitment to their customers and their inability to communicate with anyone in a decent and timely fashion.
Looks like I will just pay an independent body shop to repair the crack and get her into tip top condition for sale.
A slightly sad end to a sometimes beautiful friendship.
Good luck and best wishes to all you hardy Morganeers.
Matt

Time & Time again, I hear of Morgan's lack of customer care.
Why is this the case ? Or are they just arrogant **

I find it very disconcerting and sad even when I read about situations like this. There is also another thread on here about a member loosing a rear wheel on an Aero for the second time, if that was my car it would be up for sale. Why is it that companies never seem to learn the lesson that bad publicity can be fatal, remember Ratners.
The cars, the companionship and the mystique of Morgan ownership is wonderful, but it is tarnished when you hear of things like this happening. Quality control is the key, ask the Japanese.
Peter

Good Luck for your next car.

This is something for the M3w focus group. I believe that the top table at MMC are trying hard to get it right. I also think that communications with dealers is nowhere near good enough when things like this happen. Obviously dealers are all different but MMC need to better recognise that the dealers are the customer interface. A bit like the banks - great efforts are made to attract new customers but seemingly much less effort in keeping existing customers happy.

Ps. Sorry to see you go Matty, but stay with TM and never say never.

I'm really sorry to hear of your Morgan experience unfortunately yours is not an isolated case as I'm sure you know.

They must learn the customer service skill before it's too late.

Do let us all know what your next toy is and carry on contributing to the forum when time allows.

Wishing you the very best for the future.

Hi Matty,

So sorry it has come to this and I echo DaveW's comment about raising this at the focus group. I know this will be shutting the door after the horse has bolted but it may just help someone in the future.

Good luck with the sale and whatever comes next.

Who knows, the way these little beasties get under your skin we may see you back in the fold sometime cheers

I just wish I had a bit more disposable income so I could meet every engineering challange she throws up
I should also say that some of the people at the factory( those a little more at the sharp end) have been really helpful.
