I'm putting my 1975 4/4 up for sale as am thinking of trading up to either a plus 4 or even a new 4/4. I've owned the car for two years and have spent some money on it - a bill from last year for £1300 including new kingpins done by Berrybrook in Exeter.
Am waiting for the V5 to come back from DVLA as it was sent away on April 1st to change the car's tax class to 'Historic' ie free tax. Should be here any day now!
The car is a 1600 cc crossflow with a five speed Sierra gearbox. Goes very nicely. Bodywise it's average, all steel.Interior is cream leather and serviceable. Comes with hood and tonneau cover. It has been restored by a previous owner but it's not going to win any shows. Most obviously it needs a rear wing replacing or repairing as a crack in the seam has appeared where it looks to have been previously filled. Some service history is included.
The chassis seems fine and there are no other major areas of impending expenditure that I'm aware of. Oil last changed about six months ago and MOT due end of May. price is £11,500 firm or £12,500 if you'd like it with the wing repaired and a new MOT. I'm based near Crediton in Devon.
All in all I think this car could be the basis of a really nice one but will need some money spent to make it A1, or you can use it like it is and not worry!
