Hi getting ready to install a new Temp gauge sending unit with new wiring, do I need to insulate the wire with tape, if so what type of tape??? I have a 1965 plus 4 thanks

Insulated Butt connectors with Hella Shrink over and a broad Tywrap or Spiwrap to locate it on the hose if it's a longer run.
