I have and like this: My pair is two years old and has a light grey colour of wool inside combined with black leather.

In summer season I wear this, only sometimes, I don't need it when it is warm.

I've got a really old pair of leather gloves provided by the Ministry of Post and Telecoms to drivers back in 1967.
They are great and being quite thin have moulded themselves to my hands like a second skin.
They are irreplaceable to me but only used when the temp drops to single figures. drive

I can vouch for Chester Jeffries too, they used to do made to measure at no extra cost - worth a call, you can choose style, stitching and lining - just send them an outline of both hands!

was looking for the perfect driving glove for me for about 4 months .... just could not find any that would satisfy my demand on fit, feel and look.

then remembered how good my cycle (mtb) gloves felt back in the days.

now went for this one:
BG RIDGE wiretap from specialized.
fits like second skin with an excellent seamless feel.
and I love its modern look.

I have a pair of string back gloves - a Xmas present!

From John Lewis.

Very warm and comfy they are too!

They remind me of my dads gloves from the 50s.

How much warmth do you need Derosa?
I had a pair of Dent's gloves for Christmas from Worcester swmbo
The firm originates in Worcester (1709), when the town was the centre of glove making in Britain. Unfortunately there is no presence in the city any more.
I bought these to match the car (red/anthracite leather).

There is 10% off if you sign up by email. I had mine in a 30% discount online sale.

The coldest I have been out in them is 5 deg.
Very retro, and no, the holes don't freeze my knuckles!

Yes I went for the Dents in the end to support a British name but from all the comments on here there are plenty to choose from. Very happy with mine so far.
