Hello Folks

I have a Momo steering wheel that I would like to fit to my 2016 Roadster. Can anyone recommend a suitable replacement steering wheel boss? I've tried to search the forum and also Google without luck. There seem to be many variations and I don't want to order the wrong part.

Many thanks!
Steve

Morgans are not listed on their website, but I would suggest giving Merlin an email about a suitable boss. They are based at Castle Combe, near Williams Mog dealership. Might be worth a line to them as well for any advice.

Hope this helps and you can get sorted.

Merlin (and Williams) look like good options Gerry - thanks for that.

I've also ordered a new Mota-Lita dished 13" wheel in suede, but in hindsight, I think my preference is to have my faithful Momo fitted. Hopefully there's a boss available.

The ARP4 wheel seems to have the same bolt pattern - maybe Aero Racing might know?

Cheers

Hi Steve,

the boss of a 2014 4/4 should be the same one as yours.
Have a look at my thread, the ordering number of the boss is also named.

I want to add that it is not urgently neccessary to make the alterations shown in the thread. The boss as bought will fit, if you don't want the blinkers reset working and if you have a not dished wheel, or if you are fine with a dished wheel which comes slightly closer to the driver than after my tweaks. To give it a try, the boss is a relatively cheap investment and you could fine tune it later on.

Only thing is you can't use the original plastic shroud any longer. But the Momo boss looks good stand alone in my view. I still have to add some leather clothing in front of the boss to cover the mechanics.

Hello Heinz - Thanks for your help with this. I did come across your very useful post through an earlier search but wasn't entirely sure if the boss would also fit my Roadster. I have ordered it today anyway and can always send it back if incorrect for any reason.

The steering shroud on the Roadster is covered in leather. It's a shame that I will need to remove it, but I 'll see how everything fits together and if it can be adapted or modified in any way.

Just as a follow up to this thread, the momo boss listed in Heinz's original post fitted my Roadster with no problems. The leather shroud was refitted as well. I can fit my legs under the wheel without any issues now!

Hi Riversides, In my view the steering wheel looks very good in combination with your painted dash. I like her colour a lot. The modern Momo wheel in combination with the colour adds freshness and lets her look very clear and sporty. Which tone of blue colour is it? Perhaps a Porsche colour?

Thanks Heinz! The colour is from Lotus - "Lotus Daytona Blue".

I have tried to go with a minimal "race" theme on the car. As you can see it has ARP4 wheels, mirrors and LED headlights as well.
